Diesel spill on Kaimais
Tauranga police advise motorist to drive to the conditions after a diesel spill on the Kaimai Range (SH29)
The spill spreads from the summit of the Kaimai range towards Matamata.Police from Matamata and Tauranga are on SH29 along with contractors.
Senior Sergeant Wayne Hunter says slippery conditions could result in someone being hurt or killed so slow down!
“The rain is causing greasy conditions instead of washing it away it is making it worse.
”Drive slow and drive to the conditions Mr Hunter said.
Warning signs have been erected to warn motorist of the slippery conditions.
