Prisoner escapes from prison truck (Update)

The prison truck was transporting prisoners to a correctional facility in Rotorua when the 19-year-old male escaped out of the back cab of the truck on Payes Pa Road at about 1.45pm.
Police dog units were involved in the search
The man was located and taken back into police custody and will be transported to Rotorua.
The man was handcuffed when he escaped.
