Today: Magic celebrations parade

The Magic is first New Zealand team to win the ANZ Championship trans-Tasman netball competition after defeating the Melbourne Vixens 41-38 at Melbourne’s Hisense Arena on Sunday night.
The parade will leave 1st Avenue at 12.30pm making their way down Devonport Road ending at Edgewater Fan for a mayoral reception.
Students from Tauranga schools dressed in Magic uniforms will lead the procession.
Netball BOP CEO Sheryl Dawson says the parade is a great way to thank the supporters and sponsors for their support.
“We’d really like people to enjoy the moment that’s been created for them,” she says.
