The New Zealand Taekwondo national championships proved to be a bonus for the sport held over the weekend at the North Shore Events Centre with close to 500 entrants making the tournament the largest ever for Taekwondo.
Although there were no major upsets in the majority of divisions there were still a number of competitors aiming to shine with selection for the Oceania Championships to be confirmed later this week for the tournament to be held in early December on the Gold Coast, Australia.

New Zealand rep, Dafydd Sanders from the Central Olympic Club in Auckland added yet another national title when he won the sparring at the men’s black belt open under 87kg division.
