For the second year running the 100% Summer without Substances promotion is running in different locations throughout Tauranga.
For the second year running the 100% Summer without Substances promotion is running in different locations throughout Tauranga.
Made possible by sponsorship from ACC this event aims to provide a series of fun activities for young people in Tauranga Moana encouraging them to enjoy life, substance free.
The events kicked off on the 16th and run through until 26th of January.
Organiser Becks Watts says there are a variety of free activities that youth can get involved in over the next few days.
"Boxing sparring with instruction, Urban Dance Company workshops, volleyball, basketball shootouts, Waka Kai – mobile cooking demo’s, Ngai Te Rangi mobile gym, mechanical bull and other interactive activities aimed to inspire and involve them are just some of the activities on offer during the program."
"With the sponsorship help there is no cost for the events and no need to register, so grab your friends and turn up on the day."
"The events, as the name suggests, are all 100% drug and alcohol free and we will be strictly enforcing this throughout."
