Thailand - Bucket loads of fun
One of the hottest destinations for students and graduates alike, Thailand offers everything you can think of when planning your dream getaway. From a wild nightlife to beautiful beaches and everything in between, it’s worth checking out why your mates are all bragging about it.
The team at Student Flights share their top tips of things to do between parties, while in Thailand:
Khao San Road is the perfect place to experience the nightlife with great markets and amazing bars that sell cheap cocktails. It’s the perfect place for backpackers and party lovers.
Check out a Thai kick-boxing bout at Rajadamnern Boxing Stadium - even if you’re not a boxing fan, there is an amazing atmosphere and it’s lots of fun.
One of the best things about travelling is the food - learn how to make the real thing yourself and take part in a Thai cooking class, most start with a tour around the markets so you can check out all the ingredients and tailor it to suit your preferences. Your family and flatmates will be more than impressed.
Try your hand at haggling at the Chatuchak weekend markets. With over 5,000 stalls selling everything from home wares to silk and handbags, you can haggle to your hearts content.
Take an overnight trip to Kanchanaburi and check out the Commonwealth Cemetery and Museum. The steam train across the bridge and up to Hellfire Pass provides an amazing glimpse into our shared history and is a great way to check out a more rural side of Thailand.
