Two kids hurt in serious crash
Four people including two young children received serious injuries after the vehicle they were traveling in rolled near Taupo yesterday.
The Rotorua Bay Trust Rescue Helicopter, Taupo based Greenlea Rescue Helicopter and Hamilton’s Waikato Westpac Air Ambulance were called to a serious motor vehicle accident on State Highway 1 near Centennial Drive in Taupo.
The vehicle that was carrying two adults and two small children rolled just after 12pm.
The male and female occupants both suffered severe head and neck injuries. The two small children suffered serious injuries
The injured 25 year old female was transported to Waikato Hospital for further treatment by the Bay Trust Rescue Helicopter and the male patient and children were also transported to Waikato Hospital by the Greenlea and Waikato Rescue Helicopters.
