Powerboats of all shapes, speeds and sizes including Prix Hydroplanes, Offshore Powerboats, Water Ski Racing, Formula One Tunnels, Modified Hydroplanes and Thunder Cats took to the water for the first time this weekend apart of the festival.
Top New Zealand Grand Prix Hydroplane Driver Warwick Lupton described the event as perfect.
"The weather, the water, the people and Tauranga proved it is the place to be, it was just perfect." Lupton said.
