Fire fighters have freed two women after the vehicle they were in crashed into a tractor just after 8am this morning.
The two women were driving a silver sedan along Waihi Road heading towards Cameron Road when they collided with the back of a tractor causing there vehicle to roll.
Fire fighters from Tauranga and Greerton were called to free the women. They were trapped for 40 minutes and were able to walk to the ambulance once they were freed from the vehicle.
The accident blocked both lanes, police had stopped traffic at Christopher Street and St Johns street for traffic heading towards Otumoetai.
