Eight people have appeared in Tauranga Registrar's Court today facing charges after a brawl at a car park next to the Countdown on 12th Avenue in the early hours of Sunday March 3.
The eight associates seven men and one women have been granted interim name suppression.
The gang members were arrested yesterday after police executed search warrants at nine address's.
Stolen property was found including two motorbikes and a small amount of cannabis.
Police say that the occupants were armed with weapons ranging from knives to a sword and lengths of steel chain.
