Scrub fire in Gate Pa

Greerton Fire Fighters were called to a scrub fire at the end of Faulkner Street in Gate Pa this evening after residents reported seeing smoke coming from the reserve.

A local resident who wishes not to be named said he saw the smoke from his address on Humber Crescent.

"I saw all the smoke from my place so I ran down straight away" He told the Bop Live.

He stated that there was a group of young children near the fire and he told them to move back. Police were speaking to witnesses at the scene.
