Heavy rain warning for today
A low west of the North Island is expected to cross the central North Island tomorrow afternoon and evening. A strong, moist northeast flow is expected to bring heavy rain for most of the North Island. Heavy rain warnings are in place for the Bay of Plenty.
As the low crosses the North Island during this afternoon expect heavy rain and at times strong winds.
People in these areas are advised to secure loose objects that may be affected by strong winds and are advised to keep up to date with the latest forecasts and check if further warnings have been issued.
