Serious truck crash near Otorohanga

Emergency services are at the scene of a serious truck crash near Otorohanga.

The accident is on Kawhia Road near the intersection with Redlands Road near Otorohanga.

Reports are that a truck and trailer unit has rolled and collided with the embankment and the driver is heavily trapped.

Fire crews from Hamilton have been called for heavy rescue equipment.
