Hamilton gearing up to host 'super' final
Hamilton is gearing up for what is poised to be a spectacular weekend of Super Rugby this Saturday.
Extra police and event staff have been called in for Saturdays Super Rugby Grand final between the Chiefs and Brumbeys at Waikato Stadium.
Both teams head into the grand final after the Chiefs edged the Crusaders 20-19 there on Saturday night and the Brumbeys upset the Bulls in Pretoria with a 26-23 win.
Chiefs coach Dave Rennie says with the comfort of home ground we are pretty confident that it will be a chief victory on Saturday.
But lets not count our lucky stars just yet. He said.
Meanwhile rugby wont be the only thing playing at Waikato Stadium with a special performance by X Factor NZ judge and Australian Idol winner Stan Walker.
Stan spoke to Entertainment Editor Larni Hepi saying he is honoured to be playing at his own stomping ground with the 'beast' team in Aotearoa.
"Bit of a privilege to be asked to play there. I am a Chiefs boy from way back."
Walker will perform his two latest singles.
"its going to be awesome aye!"
"Hopefully it will be a Chiefs win, but I am looking forward to Saturday night and I can't wait. Go the Chiefs!"
The Bop Live will be sideline on Saturday night with live coverage of the 2013 Super Rugby Final.
