Human remains discovered at pilot bay
At around 4 pm today some ancient human remains were discovered by a construction crew at Pilot Bay, Mount Maunganui. The remains have been examined by an archaeologist and they will be continuing their examination in the next few days.
Police assisted in the initial enquiry however the scene has been handed over to the achaeologists.
