Heavy rain for eastern ranges
A front is moving slowly eastwards across the northeast of the North Island today, preceded by a moist northwest flow bringing rain to the Bay of Plenty.
The heaviest falls are in the eastern ranges of the Bay of Plenty, where 100mm of rain may fall up to midnight tonight.
People in this area are advised rivers and streams may rise rapidly and slips are possible.
