Whakatane Music Society 'Rising Starlets' on tonight

A variety ranging from  choirs,  bands, rock groups, and a piano soloist are all among a talented line up expected tonight at the Liberty Centre. 


The Whakatane Music Society present their annual Rising Starlets concert that will feature a variety of music and talented young children. 


Elizabeth Bayliss of the Whakatane Music Society said she hopes for a good audience at the Liberty Centre tonight.

"We have groups of primary and intermediate school children who will be performing a variety of performances. We have 2 choirs, a marimba band, a symphonic band, 2 smaller rock groups, and a piano soloist." 


The concert starts at 7.30pm at the Liberty centre on Wairaka road. 


Tickets are available to be purchased at the door tonight  $5 for adults, children free.
