What's on this weekend: TARAWERA 100

This weekend expect to hear the roaring sounds of dirt bikes in the hills above Te Teko with the Tarawera 100 on this Saturday. 

The popular Motor X event attracts dirt bike riders of all skills and ages from all over the Bay of Plenty and New Zealand.


Nicola McIlroy secretary for the event says they are expecting an outstanding turn out with supporters and riders and with the weather gods promising fine weather on Saturday.  


"We have had hundreds of entries from through out the Bay of Plenty and New Zealand, it is going to be one of the biggest turn outs ever seen."  She says. 

"We would like to encourage everyone to come along to the event to see all the action. The track will be sign posted from Te Teko with gates opening at 7am." 

Champion Ben Townley will be there along with his MX1 Championship winning Carlton Dry Honda CRF450R fans will have the chance to meet the MX1 champion on Saturday. 

The event is a shot gun start at 10am (SHARP)
