Thousands expected at Tuhoe festival
Over 10,000 are expected at at the Ngai Tuhoe biennial festival, Te Hui Ahurei o Tuhoe, this weekend in the Eastern Bay of Plenty settlement of Ruatoki.
This years festivities include kapa haka, debates and sporting events.

This year marks the 41 year anniversary with organisers saying with the progression of its settlement and with a new $15mil headquarters currently under construction, this could signal an end to the Ahurei being held in Ruatoki.
"The decision is in the hands of the commitee on whether or not the festival stays or go." Organiser Hukarere Williams says.
"The issue is not being given over lightly, this is a mater for what our Iwi want." She says.
The festival is held over Easter Weekend.
