TrustPower TECT Helicopter open day
Hundreds of people turned up today to attend the Tauranga TrustPower TECT Helicopter open day at the Tauranga Hospital helicopter pad.
Despite the rain locals still turned up to enjoy the day of activities and displays.
Tauranga and Greerton Fire Brigades were at the event and held a demonstration on how they extract people from a motor vehicle accident.
Later on in the day the Police Dog Squad and Armed Offenders Squad turned up to do a demonstration which involved a mock police pursuit followed by a stand off which resulted in the police dog being let go on the offender.
