Artwork opening of new fuel tank
Terminal New Zealand's new Mount Maunganui multi-million dollar storage tank was officially opened by
Tauranga MP Simon Bridges and Resources and Minister of Energy today.
Opened this morning to an audience including Terminal New Zealand general manager Dave Bodger Tauranga MP Simon Bridges spray painted the final piece to finish the artwork.
The storage tank sets itself apart from the others being painted in bright colours, Cut Collective artist Ross Liew says it was the biggest piece of artwork they have done before.Four artists created the piece of work over four days and nights which explores the ideas around the company's use of energy, both in creation and consumption
"It represents youth and the idea of energy."
