Four injured in crash near Piopio
A 17-year-old Hawera women is in a serious condition after a car crash near Piopio this afternoon.
The crash happened on SH3 about 7km south of Piopio at about 3pm.
The 17-year-old was traveling with three other family members when their car left the road and skidded along the road embankment and rolled coming to rest on its roof.
Pilot Dan Harcourt says the 17 year old passenger suffered serious head and facial injuries, well the driver and two other passengers were also injured.
We flew the two of them Waikato Hospital well Taupo’s Greenlea Rescue helicopter flew the other two occupants to Waikato also. Dan says.
