Land slip causes power outages
A land slip in Tauranga has caused power outages to about 80-100 homes in Otumoetai.
The slip occurred last night during torrential rain damaging a power transformer.
A council spokesperson says contractors have been stabilizing the slip this afternoon and are assessing repair options for the transformer.
