Chiefs team announced for Crusaders clash
The Chiefs have announced their team to play the Crusaders at Waikato Stadium this Friday night at 7.35pm.To help raise awareness of Waikato District Health Board’s child and youth health services Waikids, the Chiefs will tackle their New Zealand Conference match wearing specially-designed one off jerseys branded with the Waikids logo.
Waikids are dedicated to maintaining wellness and preventing sickness from the day a child is born until the day they turn 18.
Some of the limited edition jerseys will be sold and auctioned off through a variety of channels. To reward fans attending the match, four jerseys will be sold off at the game from the merchandise stand on each side of the stadium in a first in first served basis for $300 each. Three will be auctioned off in the Chiefs hospitality lounges, one will be sold on trade me which will be activated post match and one will be donated to Waikids.
Chiefs coach Dave Rennie has made two changes to his first XV and three changes to the bench. Ben Tameifuna comes in at prop for Ben Afeaki who is out this week with a calf strain and Patrick Osborne starts on the wing. Toby Smith, Sam Cane and Lelia Masaga move into the reserves.
Bay of Plenty midfielder Kenny Lynn has been bought into the squad as midfield cover.
Tickets to the Chiefs v Crusaders match are available from Gate One at Waikato Stadium from each Monday of game week from 8am till 6pm until game day with map seating locations on site for viewing. For all other options from on-line purchasing or kiosks visit www.chiefs.co.nz. Tickets for the match start from as little as $14 for Adults and $5 for kids 14 years and under $5 (plus service fees). Kids 4 years and under are free on the knee.
