Navy band to sail into Taupo

The Royal NewZealand Navy Band is a dedicated branch of the Royal New Zealand Army playing compositions and arrangements by all the great composers in musical history, including modern composers.

For the first time in over a decade, the 30 piece Navy Band based in Auckland will be enthralling audiences in the central North Island. Concerts for both school students and public will be put on in Hamilton, Rotorua, Taupo, New Plymouth and Wanganui.

Featuring exciting young New Zealand singer Rebecca Nelson, an up and comer to keep your eye on, the band will perform music to suit all ages. Whether you like jazz, classical, traditional or pop, music from Tchaikovsky to the Blues Brothers will get your toes tapping and hands clapping.

The RNZ Navy band is made up of some of New Zealand's best wind, brass and percussion players, and is one of the principal military bands in the country.
