More rain on the way

The MetService has forecast rain for the rest of the week for the Bay of Plenty starting tomorrow till Friday with some heavy showers expected.

Rain is likely to be heavy with the chance of some thundery showers in the north and west of the North Island, a severe weather watch has been issued for Nelson and Mt Taranaki.

From Wednesday onwards cooler conditions are expected as the wind flow turns westerly then more colder showers are expected.

This low may also bring snow down to low levels in the South Island.
