Scrub fire near Matapihi

Fire service  are responding to reports of a scrub fire off State Highway 29 between BayPark Speedway and Maungatapu.

Reports the fire is about   50metres by 1 metre working accross railway lines with the next  train is at 3pm.

The fire is near the railway lines between State Highway 29 and Matapihi.

Fire crews are attempting to gain access to the fire.
