Helicopter crash at North Shore

A light helicopter has crashed at North Shore Aero Club just before 1pm.

The helicopter got into trouble while hovering and crashed to the side of the runway, the pilot was up and walking after the crash.

Fire service, police and ambulance were called the airfield and have cordoned the scene off.

Police and the Civil Aviation Authority are investigating.
