18 month old run over by vehicle

At about 2:20pm yesterday afternoon , Police attended an incident in Otahuhu where an 18 month old was run over by a vehicle in a driveway.

The child later died from the injuries and the Counties Manukau Police Serious Crash Unit are investigating to find the cause of the accident.

Inspector Neil Fisher from Counties Manukau Police said "At this stage of this investigation it is too early to speculate the causes but I would urge parents and drivers to always"
-CHECK for children before driving off
-SUPERVISE children around vehicles.
