UPDATE Two car crash in Tauranga

A woman has been taken to Tauranga hospital after a car accident outside the Z petrol station on 11th Avenue this morning.

Emergency services responded to the accident at 11.15am to find a women trapped in her car after colliding with another car after turning into the service station forecourt.

Both vehicles were on the station forecourt when emergency services arrived.

The driver of the other vehicle was uninjured and walking around.

The woman was conscious and talking and was taken from the car to a waiting ambulance where a police officer accompanied her to Tauranga Hospital.

Police are still investigating how the crash happened.
